Dear Parents,
I am well along in the process of creating academic schedules for all students as we get closer to the opening of school for the 2007-08 school year. This process involves the consideration of a student's transcript as well as their choices for elective classes in certain areas, always keeping an eye on the progressive fulfillment of graduation requirements and the need for strong college preparation.
Enclosed in this mailing you will find a course selection form which is specific to the grade your child will enter in the fall. I would find it beneficial if you could discuss the possibilities with your student and then inform me immediately of the choices you wish to see put into place. I am also happy to discuss scheduling with you over the phone if you need more advice: (435) 462-1431.
Please note that the form does not include the opportunity to select ESL classes. For international students, I rely on the recommendations of our ESL department based on testing done between August 26 and the beginning of school so we need to wait until then to finalize academic schedules.
