Luke Austin
Luke Austin is beginning his fifth year at Wasatch Academy. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, he attended the University of
the South where he earned a B.A. in European History in 1985. He then ventured to the University of Wyoming where, in 1998, he
received his Masters in American History. To finance his education, Luke worked for the U.S. Forest Service
at bases throughout the western United States as a wildland firefighter
and smokejumper. He is the author of General John Bratton:Sumter
to Appomattox, In Letters to His Wife. He lives with his wife, Mitzi
and son Will.
