Ken Fishback

Ken Fishback is serving his third year as the school counselor at Wasatch after two years as Dean of Students. In addition, he is in his second year as the athletic director. After graduating from Duke University with majors in English and History (and with a teaching certificate), Ken spent six years at Washington College Academy, a small boarding school near Johnson City, Tennessee. Over the course of his time there, Ken was a house parent, full-time teacher, the varsity girls’ basketball and softball coach, Director of Residential Life, and the college counselor, though not all at once. He also earned a Master’s degree in school counseling from East Tennessee State University. Ken believes that students deserve to be treated with the same dignity and respect that we expect from them, and that listening to them is often more important than telling them.
