Building upon the concepts taught in a typical Algebra I course, students gain a solid foundation for the further study of mathematics in Pre-Calculus or other advanced mathematics courses. In this course, we revisit the practical applications of linear equations with the idea of making connections to the real world. In addition, the Algebra II class typically explores other topics including models, functions and permutations, matrices, polynomials and polynomial functions, trigonometry, and quadratic relations. Whenever possible, in order to facilitate the student learning process, the course uses technology (i.e. graphing calculators, spreadsheets, applets, and games).
