The purpose of this course is to aid each student in developing their confidence and curiosity in web design and internet safety through a rigorous, technology-driven curriculum. The curriculum will feed off of the diverse backgrounds and learning styles of each student so that all may succeed. In the wake of the students' successful completion of the course, they will be empowered to successfully apply their newly acquired web design and internet safety skills as they continue their education and pursue a rewarding career.
Course Description
Quarter 1:
For those taking the course for the first quarter, the course will
include about thirteen web design lessons and a review project. These lessons
are designed to teach all of the basic tags and attributes used to design web
pages.
Quarter 2:
For those taking the course for the second quarter, you will
be designing a 20+ page website. You will complete the first 10 pages during this
quarter.
Quarter 3:
For those taking the course for the third quarter, you will
be completing your entire website, consisting of 20 web pages and a 60 frame movie
clip.
Quarter 4:
For those taking the course for the fourth quarter, you will
learn to use php and javascript in web pages in order to add interactive and dynamic
content to your web site.
