Boys Basketball Team to Play for Trip to State Tournament

The Tigers completed their region schedule with a 42-29 home victory over Meridian on Tuesday night. The win allowed the team to finish in third place in the region, and they can earn a trip to the state tournament with a victory in a crossover game at home on either February 25th or 26th. In this game, sophomore Jon Buckwalter led the way in scoring with thirteen points, while sophomore Chris Sumsion added eleven, and senior co-captain Quincy Benson had ten. This was the final regular-season home game for five seniors, all of whom were in the starting line-up: Benson, Daniel Choe, co-captain Yusuke Osakabe, and four-year seniors John Kei and Brysen Hansen, the third co-captain. The team will have three more games before the crossover game, including an overnight trip this weekend to play Monticello and Green River.
